Difference between industrial PLC scada & substation automation scada

Hi...right now am working as a SAS engineer,actually one thing i want to know is their any difference between industrial PLC scada & substation automation scada?

vijay...where is your SAS send/recieving its I/O from..if your factory platform is a PLC then there is 'basically' no difference.
the basic control architecture will be the same.

PLC scada can be configured for any application the way the application would demand. The SAS is a dedicated SCADA which has been developed specifically to be deployed in Substations. The screens, parameters monitored and the reports are very substation application specific.PLC SCADA can be configured for very many applications like for example - Small paper mill, Motor/ Generator/ Engine test bench, Small chemical plants etc.
