can anyone give me brief about setting up solar power plant in india (tamil nadu) . I have waste land in my village .as a power plant engineer i am thinking to setup solar power plant in my land.(as ther is no rain throughout the year). I have doubt like 1) cost involved. 2) clearances. 3) PPA

it is very nice that you are thinking of installing a solar plant at your village. You need to go step by step as below
1. To finalize whether you are going for ON Grid or OFF Grid plant
2. If OFF Grid system, what is the evacuation capacity
3. Measure the solar radiation level at your village,
4. Based on this data decide the plant capacity
5. From the Plant capacity, you can estimate the floor space required and also the investment
6. Check with state body for subsidy if any
7. Prepare project report, check for bank loans etc.
8. Then you can negotiate with the suppliers and finalize
9. Instillation and commission the plant
10. Start getting benefits.
