High Permeability - High Saturation Material

Dear all,
Does anybody know of a material that can be used for small electrical machine construction that has the following specs:
Relative permeability (mu_r) >=~3000
Saturation level (Bs) >=~1.8T
Any specific information and/or links would be greatly appreciated

Try Arnon 7 or HyperCo 50. Check Arnon @ Arnold magnetics website and HyperCo 50 @ Carpenter or similar @Vacuumschmelze websites. Good Luck. Mohamed Abbas

Nearly all electrical steels meet the requirement, e.g. 35PN250 from Posco, M300-35A from Tata Steel, 35H250 from Nippon, M-15 from AK Steel etc. There are lots of electrical steels, but rate at which permeability decays from the peak differs.

Magweb.us website presents permeability curves of variety of steels which can be used for comparing and narrowing down the selection based on other criteria such as core loss or thickness of laminations etc..
