10 HP Solar Water Pump

Do you have any info on companies that make good quality Solar Water Pumps ? These pumps must be able to pump water upto a Depth of 1000 feet .
Thanks.

Hi Pavan,

We have worked on the design and supply of this type of bore/ well pumping systems and can assist you with your needs.

Get in contact,

Hi Pavan,

Grundfos and SunPumps both make good quality submersible pumps.

Are you looking for a distributor or do you have a particular project you are planning?

Rather than a power rating, such as "10 HP", The most important design questions for PV array-direct pumping are,
1. how much water volume per DAY is required (Liters Per Day, or Gallons Per Day)
2. total head (vertical distance from water level to top of storage)

If you can provide me with those two numbers (and your location) I will be happy to provide pumps or complete PV pumping systems. We are a US based international distributor of solar power systems and equipment.

1000 feet is really deep! That is beyond the range of most solar pumps. The SQFlex goes to about 600 feet. Hopefully the static level of the wells is up higher than that most of the time. A nice thing about PV direct well (borehole) pumping is that the slow continual all day pumping does not draw down the water level as quickly as a higher power pump.

best regards,
Eric

One advantage of the SunPod SP-500 is we are technology neutral. We have both on-grid and off grid options. Off grid we drive a AC or DC solar pump with the standard inverter, controller, batteries such as the pump mentioned above..

Where we really shine is our solar motor controller that can drive any AC motor up to 10-hp 480-v 3-phase directly without the traditional solar inverter using a 10 to 15-kw peak power system.

This means you can use any off-shelf AC motor or pump unit. If you have an existing well or irrigation system, all you do is disconnect the existing power hook up and connect to the SunPod for instant power. There is no need to pull up the existing inplace unit. At a 1,000 feet, depending on the setup and other factors, about 3,800 gallon per day is possible.
